Indigos

The first on the scene were named the Indigo's because their aura is a deep shade of Indigo blue. The first Indigo's were being born in the early part the last century and increased in numbers over the past 50 years with the greatest population being born between 1975-1995 and trailing off up to 2000. Keep in mind that not everyone born during this period was an Indigo. Many who are may live their whole lives without ever knowing their uniqueness. Many early Indigo's may have also given birth to other Indigo's who are now in their late twenties and early thirties. There are differing opinions on the actual numbers. It is the characteristics of these individuals that mark them as different from preceding generations.

As an analogy, Indigo's are the "town criers" serving notice and calling attention to injustices and problems of the world. From a number of different perspectives they are voicing that we need to re-think everything in our civilization to create a better future for the planet and the human race. Many are taken to be abrasive because they are to the point, are easily bored, always ask why, and often do not suffer fools kindly. As with any generational group there are those who work for the greater good and there are those whose gifts when not recognized and developed, align their abilities with the lower energies and contribute to the decay of society. Indigo's who are able to focus their abilities positively are the ones opening the door, letting everyone know that "the times, they are a-changing". Their work is paving the way for the more empowered Crystal children.

The Hippie movement of the 1960's could be thought of as an early flare of Indigo attitudes which rose up against the "system" before caving in upon itself in the early 1970's. A significant contributing factor was the proliferation of the drug scene. Many believe the introduction of drugs into the Hippie Culture caused the movement to implode with the assistance of government intervention. There is credible evidence that the government was also to have been the very supplier of the drugs. Today is only slightly different. Many of the mind numbing drugs available are sold to us legally by the pharmaceutical companies. But I am getting ahead of my self here.
